Kid Harmony is church from a kid’s perspective.  At Kid Harmony, we want to support the family as you raise your kids to be followers of Jesus.

What we do

On Sunday morning during each service, kids are checked in to secure areas where ministry partners greet them and involve them in games and activities. Soon after, kids go to Large Group, where an age appropriate lesson is delivered by a gifted teaching ministry partner. Large group is an exciting time in Kid Harmony. Kids never know what to expect because the teaching medium changes from week to week. Sometimes the lesson is delivered through a video, sometimes a skit, sometimes a game show. Also, Kid Harmony environments change when the teaching units change. Kids might have a lesson from the lab, or the jungle, or even outer space!

After large group, kids go to small groups where they are lead in life application activities that bring the large group teaching “home.” Through interactive activities, kids will see just what the Bible teaching means to them personally. Small Group ministry partners shepherd kids during this time resulting in spiritual growth and personal knowledge leading to salvation.

What to expect

If you are visiting New Harmony for the first time, we want to make you feel as comfortable as possible.  Visit our check-in center and take a moment to give the greeter your personal information for our data base.  After it is recorded, you can check your kids into Kid Harmony using our kiosk touch screen.  Kids will get an identification sticker (including an extra for your diaper bag) and you will get a receipt.  Keep the receipt to retrieve kids after the service.  A ministry partner will escort you to the designated area for your kids.  If your child needs you during a service, the number on your receipt will be displayed on the screen.

What we do about keeping your kids safe

In addition to the check-in procedure above, the areas for teaching children have been made as secure as possible.  Only people holding child receipts will be admitted into these areas.  All ministry partners that have access to children are background screened and trained in security procedures.  You will be asked to show your receipt when picking up your child.

We would love for your family to join us this Sunday.  Questions and comments should be sent to Julie McNeal, Children’s Ministry Director, jmcneal@nharmony.org
